Yeah, I'm not asking the host to tell us how to play.
But when both Infidel and MrBlarney bring something up, I think it is fair to say that you look at it and decide something.
Whether it is broken or not, and whether there are other issues, the difficulty can be summed up by this: Effectively you have made multiple games to be played in layers (Jedi have a distinct game, Sith have a distinct game, through the powers/actions, as does Council vs Not) and while it makes for a very interesting setup, it has faults in that you can identify people by which game they are playing, as there are also multiple ways to discern whether you are playing or not playing a game.
Since the game divides Jedi and Sith mainly...
Obviously not impossible to get right, but it is a lot harder to get right than a standard game.

This assumes the village as a whole will understand all the systems in place, which seems unlikely for a number of days

You forget the entire strength of a village in phalla games.
It is not that they have any advantage to start.
It is that, if the game is done properly, there are trails and ways to discern after the fact what the truth is.
It is why most village victories don't start out super strong early game. A strong early game is fortunate and helps win sure, but usually what happens is the mafia can only do so much until the previous week in retrospect defeats them.
Therefore "It will take them a while to figure out" is not much comfort to me if it is something they will figure out and can act on.

It has the possibility of going up or down or stay the same. It's dependent on an equation.

What PM, if any, will a Padawan receive after a successful Train? After a challenge?

So, should our Knights simply ask us "What PM did you receive after training last night?" we're done. Got it.
It's not a matter of us relying on a power we don't have and dying because of it. It's a matter of you publicly assigning us a role that is supposed to have those powers. You've told the village, "These guys have these powers." and then they just have to test us by asking what happened. We have no way of bluffing through that other than ignoring the question or making up some off-the-wall role that will likely be quite transparent.
It's the same dilemma with "Support," and why you actually did clarify that for us.

I do tell them if they were prevented from training since it matters for power choice the next night.

Is 12 points on a planet the maximum, and any further points are "wasted," or can that number go higher?
