The Power Vacuum rule applies to Sith powers as well.
If an Acolyte's Master dies and they are bumped into the Knight position, they become a Saber, gain Saber powers, and lose their Acolyte powers.
If a Saber is put into the Council, they become a Lord, gain Lord powers and lose their Saber powers.

If a Padawan supports one of our Sith Sabers, expecting a result to come back from their master's Meditation, what happens?

If a Padawan supports one of our Sith Sabers, expecting a result to come back from their master's Meditation, what happens? Sabers can not meditate. Telling your padawan that you can perform a light side ability that you can not actually perform is your own choice.

The game is broken is what happens! OK, this is my first time hosting so I am not quite sure how to disprove this without helping. I do feel like experienced players/creators like Infidel, Blarney, etc will need some idea of the planning and balance I put into this so they will have the confidence in the mechanics necessary to keep playing. Look at Saber's powers closely, then look at what happens if everyone is supposed to meditate+support. You will see that it is far from broken and Sabers will not be the only ones with "no result" padawans.

OK, so any Meditating Knights we kill, the Padawans will still get their Knights' results? Hmm.
EDIT: Also, expecting our Sabers' Assassination bonuses to match up with the Knights we kill is kind of crappy, but still better than nothing, I guess.
I guess I should also say that your advice is appreciated from a player standpoint, but from a hosting standpoint, a bit gray. Don't influence the players too much with your actions, you're not playing the game for them! Answer clarifications, run results and narrations, but don't get yourself too involved, yeah?

Good advice.
FYI, the post here has been the one time I have posted outside of clarification requests and therefore the first time I have stepped close to the line (hope I didn't cross it).
I am just kinda scared of the mafia I RNG'ed (Blarney, Infidel, Figgy, kime, farangu, etc) and the last thing I want is for you vets to not take a close look at the game because I am new to the phalla community and just assume its broken. Which would lead to you guys not playing, which makes the game worse, etc. I just had a mini freak out about Infi's comment about the game being broken.
*zips lips for rest of game*

It's not your job to justify how broken the game may be until after the game ended. Every game, some group will complain that it's imbalanced or what have you. Just ignore that

That's not how it works at all kime.

LIES AND SLANDER
Maybe I'm misunderstanding, but I don't think a host should tell the players all the options or whatnot they have available that give them more power to prove that they are not screwed. If the players don't look at what they're given, then so be it. It's not the host's job to tell them how the abilities and mechanics can work in their favor.
That's what I'm trying to say. Perhaps I was unclear? Or maybe you still disagree?

I disagree with "don't listen to how your game is broken", don't tell the players things that don't need to be said but you don't just ignore that your game is broken like you stated. You have LOTS of people involved, investing LOTS of time in every game. You see something immediately and demonstrably broken, you fix it or cancel the game. What you DON'T do is waste everyones time.

If a knight tells their secret-sith padawan to support them as they meditate, how do we effectively cover? The knight can then say the next day, "So what was my result?" and we're fucked? I don't get it.
Will we still learn their result, even though we're secretly sith?
nevermind

What you DON'T do is waste everyones time. Ah. I meant, don't get discouraged or think you are a failure each time someone complains. Because people complains all the time. Also, don't trust the players when THEY tell you something is broken, since (again) players always complain about balance, and they don't have the full picture. My meaning was not that if you find something is definitely broken, you shouldn't fix it (although that should be done very carefully). I said that poorly, though
